The short version
We collect what is needed to sign you in and to remember your settings, plus anonymous usage statistics. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
What we collect
Account details: depending on how you sign in, an email address, or the name, email and profile photo your Google account chooses to share. Sign-in is handled by Google Firebase Authentication, and passwords are never visible to us or stored by us.
Your content: preferences and any scenarios you save. These are stored against your account identifier and are readable only by you.
Usage and device data: anonymous analytics events such as app opens and screen views, along with device model, operating system version and rough performance figures, through Firebase Analytics.
We do not collect your location. The app renders a fixed city dataset and does not ask for or use device GPS.
Why we collect it
To sign you in and keep you signed in. To save your settings and scenarios so they are there next time. To understand which parts of the app are used and where it performs badly, so it can be improved.
Who else is involved
Google Firebase provides authentication, the database and analytics, and processes the data described above on our behalf.
Where live traffic and weather are enabled, requests go to those providers through our server. Those requests carry the area being viewed, not your identity.
We do not share your personal data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.
How long we keep it
Account and saved content are kept until you delete your account. Analytics data is retained according to Firebase’s own retention settings.
Deleting your account
Open the dashboard and choose Delete account. This removes your authentication record and the data stored against your account.
If you cannot sign in, email buildkaroapp@gmail.com from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to us and we will action it.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
